Brainchild Part 1a (redux)

Brainchild Part 1a (redux) at ACME was a re-telling of three sections from Part 1, the parts of the text that describe the physical space and architecture of the story’s setting. Brainchild sung the sections, line by line, accompanied by a small chorus. After each line, two “designers” drew the architectural spaces as they imagined them to be from the sung descriptions, never having seen or heard the text prior to the night of the performance. The Redux performance was a test of the narrative’s evocative power (or lack thereof).
